At the Exotic Shorthair Cat Society Show on January 5th Acresway
Treasure won a large Open Kitten class and won four firsts a second and
a third in side classes. Also he was considered for Best in Show.
Acresway Lilac Haze, who was just days into Adult Classes, won two
firsts and four seconds. She received many comments about her super colour.
As usual this was a lovely friendly show and it was good to catch up
with friends old and new.

March has been a very sad time for us at Acresway. On Good
Friday our stunning chocolate spotted boy, Acresway Chocolate Buttons,
suddenly passed away after his morning cuddle.
It has been very hard to come to terms with, not helped by the
fact that we have also lost two 12 year old German Shepherds within a
fortnight. They are all laid to rest beneath our holly tree. Run free over
the Rainbow Bridge until we meet again.

May saw Carrie and then Khali going to their new forever homes.
We had our first Persian newcomer join us, a lovely lilac
colourpoint called Champion Advilo Doodleshoes, who we hope will be an
asset to our colourpoint Exotic breeding programme. Thank you to Sue for
trusting us with your beautiful boy, and Mary for bringing him to Acresway.

NEWS
2007
After a break of over two years,
we decided to show Acresway
Chocolate Kiss again. She did us
proud by winning 2 x1st and 2 x
2nd and a 4th at the Exotic
Shorthair Cat Society show. She
really enjoyed her day being
fussed by everyone.

Amarula
gave birth to our first litter
of the year. She had three
lovely babies, all different
colours.
Melody was
next with another litter of
three blues, and then came
Alchoc with a bumper litter of
eight in various colours!! To
say that we have been kept
busy is an understatement,
however all have been reared
succesfully .

Kissi
thankfully decided to have
just two colourpoints, and
then Khalista had six
beautiful typy tabbies! Pepeta
also had two - our first tippy
babies for 8 years.
Showing
has been put on hold with
having all the babies to look
after, but we are hoping to
keep the tippy girl and an
exotic as a companion for her,
so should be out and about
again in the autumn.
We have
started to PKD test our
British shorthairs and are
pleased to say that Acresway
Apache Warrior, Acresway
Melody, Caseth Baileys and
Tandridge Pepeta are all
negative. We will be
submitting the remainder
soon.

During July Erimicho Rollo and
Acresway Amarula were neutered and adopted by new families. We wish them many
years of happiness with their new companions.
We sent the final DNA/PKD tests and are pleased to say that Acresway Fernando,
Acresway Charisma, Acresway Moonlight and Acresway Khalista were all negative.

Autumn also saw Acresway
Chocolate Kiss, Acresway Chocolate Truffle and Acresway Alchoc leaving us to
retire to new homes.
I decided to keep a lilac colourpoint girl, Acresway Lilac Haze, as a companion
for Acresway Perfidia, the black tipped girl who will be making her show debut
soon.

At last managed to attend a show! Went to the National with Acresway Perfidia
and met friends old and new. Thank you to everybody who has kept in touch with
news and photos. Hope to be showing more next year.
